Construction Underway on Timnath Parkway North Connection Project
Construction is now underway on the Timnath Parkway North Connection Project, a key transportation improvement that will extend Timnath Pkwy. North from the existing Buss Grove Rd. roundabout and connect it to Main St. (LCR 5). The project was approved to move into construction after Town Council awarded the construction contract at its June 23, 2026 meeting. The project is identified as a near-term priority in the Town's Transportation Master Plan and will help complete a critical connection within Timnath's roadway network.

The project includes construction of a new two-lane roadway connection, single-lane roundabout, landscaped median, shared-use path, pedestrian and bicycle improvements, and other corridor enhancements. These improvements are designed to improve safety, mobility and multimodal connectivity while supporting future growth and improving access to Main Street Timnath. When complete, the project will improve regional transportation connections, enhance access for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists, and establish. Construction is anticipated to continue through Spring 2027.
Traffic Impacts and Road Closure
As part of the project, the section of Buss Grove Road between Timnath Parkway and Main Street (LCR 5) will remain closed to traffic through approximately November 2026 while construction is completed. Motorists should plan ahead and follow posted detour routes and traffic control measures in the area. All construction schedules are subject to change. Project timelines may be affected by weather, material availability and other unforeseen conditions. The Town will provide relevant updates as project conditions and schedules evolve.
