Will there be a fee to use the recreation center?
Yes, the new facility will require a fee for use, which will help fund operating costs of the facility. The Town is considering a variety of options, including resident and non-resident rates. The official fee schedule will be determined based on a market analysis as the project nears completion.
How long will the sales and use tax be in place?
The approved 1.25% sales and use tax will remain in place until the recreation center construction financing is paid off. At that point, the tax would be reduced to 0.25%. Those revenues would go toward operating and maintaining the community recreation center.
When will construction begin?
Design work is scheduled to start in early 2026 and go throughout the year. Construction timelines will be shared once finalized.
